Christmas Photography
Make sure your shots are Christmas Photography not
turkeys with these simple tips!
Christmas Photography Tip #1
Check your composition on the LCD screen to ensure
the Christmas tree isn't growing out of anyone's head, or that feet haven't been
chopped off – change your
position or zoom in or out for a better result.
Christmas Photography Tip #2
Get down on the floor to the children's eye-level
for great shots of them opening their presents.
Christmas Photography Tip #3
For real impact, fill the frame with your main subject,
but not bang in the centre – you'll
create far more impact if you position them off-centre.
Christmas Photography Tip #4
For lovely skin tones
and flattering results, choose Portrait Mode.
Christmas Photography Tip #5
Set Smile Mode and it will automatically
shoot when people smile.
Christmas Photography Tip #6
If you want sharp results with excited children who can't
sit still, use Sports Mode.
Christmas Photography Tip #7
Avoid closed eyes ruining your shots with Blink Warning – it
lets you know if someone in your shot blinked so you can take the shot again.
For
atmospheric shots capturing the flames on the Christmas pudding, choose Museum
Mode.
Christmas Photography Tip #8
And finally, remember to charge your batteries and make sure there's plenty of
space on your memory card before the big day.
Happy Christmas shooting!
